Guided visit of the Pinacoteca di Brera in Milan, one of the most famous and important Italian museums for its prestigious collections of ancient and modern painting. The art gallery contains ancient paintings and a selected group of works of art of the 19th Century and of modern and classical art, especially Italian.

The Pinacoteca di Brera is located in the great palace of Brera, which also houses other institutions including the National Library Braidense, the Accademy of Fines Arts and the Astronomical Observatory. The fame of the Pinacoteca is due to large canvases from Lombardy, Veneto and Emilia Romagna like the famous masterpieces by Piero della Francesca, Giovanni Bellini, Mantegna, Raphael, Tintoretto and Caravaggio.

The collection of 19th Century paintings is limited but includes important works by Francesco Hayez, Giovanni Fattori, Silvestro Lega, Giovanni Segantini, Giuseppe Pellizza da Volpedo and Medardo Rosso.

The collection of modern art includes splendid works which come largely from the Jesi collection, allowing an evocative journey through Italian art of the first '900. Amedeo Modigliani, Umberto Boccioni, Carlo Carrà, Gino Severini, Giorgio Morandi, Mario Sironi and Filippo de Pisis stand out with some of their greatest masterpieces.
